If I had only read the Yelp reviews, I probably wouldn't have called Affordable Engines - Steve. Luckily for me, I was referred to them by my Goodyear Service Center for a repair they couldn't perform. My 2007 Chevy Suburban had a known problem with the DOD system that prevented the lifters from switching from 4 to 8 cylinders. I was quoted $3200 and $3800 by two other providers just to repair the lifters. For about that same price, Affordable Engines rebuilt my entire engine (lifters included) and gave me a 3yr/36,000 warranty. My burb is running like new! Steve is a straight shooter, knows his stuff, and will be honest about what your vehicle needs.

He rebuilt the motor in my 07 purple charger and did a great job. I have recommended him to other friends who he has taken care of also and worked out financial issues with. Steve is a standup guy and will take care of you.

Used his service on a jeep 3.6 customer damaged the engine he rebuilt the engine again no charge and even bought a higher priced oil pump to replace the first one good service will use again

I drove 2.5 hours to bring my truck to this company after having two other people take my money and screw my truck up worse than before. It was hard to trust anybody at that point but after talking with Steve and hearing the knowledge he had, I took the chance and made the trip. Steve was completely transparent with me thruout the entire process.

Had valve train failure on my 2005 Lincoln Navigator with the 5.4 3v motor and found that Affordable Engine Exchange specialized in that motor. I looked at some reviews and messaged some of the good reviewers on yelp and decided to give Steve a call and we discussed what was wrong and what it would cost to fix it and that tow was free to get it to his shop. It took about 1 month to get it done right when the quarantine shutdown started but the guy got it done and was polite and always would answer my text. The Navigator runs perfect with no issues at all and comes with a 40k warranty too!

I picked up an 08 charger with a know bad hemi that had a minimum rod knock and cam issues and had it towed to his shop (free which was nice). I found him on fb market listing rebuilding hemi engines for a very good price and even with several bad reviews I rolled the dice. A lot of people seem to get mad when their car requires more than the bare minimum and the bill is higher. really just depends what the car needs. I see that in my shop as well. With parts availability in the world being what it is it took a little longer than expected but the charger is running great. I plan to send him more work in the future and is a better value than my past builder I had used.

Steve rebuilt the engine for me on a 2013 Ford F-150. Only had it back long enough to put a couple hundred miles on it, but running well. I believe I saved money compared to other quotes I had.
